Intuitive Touch Massage Therapy opened its doors in 2010. It is located in a cozy little office building across from the McHenry police station. Please see above slideshow for pictures of the beautiful office.
My dream was to offer a place where each session was specifically designed around that individuals needs. I wanted to offer more that just 'a deep tissue massage' or 'relaxation massage'. ITMT focuses on combining all of these great techniques to give you the most benefits and best experience possible. The ultimate goal is to help you become aware of how amazing your body is, how important it is to care for your body (and mind), and to use massage therapy, self care, and relaxation techniques (all of which are especially effective when done on a consistent maintenance schedule) to help achieve and maintain a healthy happy body. And now I'm adding personal training to further those benefits!
Hello! My name is Amanda Havis and I am the owner, massage therapist & personal trainer at Intuitive Touch Massage Therapy. I studied massage therapy at Cortiva Institute and graduated in 2007 and I am an Illinois licensed & Board certified therapist. I have continued my education in myofascial release, kinesiology, hot stone massage, reiki, & aromatherapy. I am also a National Academy of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer & I am working on becoming a Corrective Exercise Specialist with future goals in learning many more natural approaches to health. Previously I have worked for a chiropractic office and massage clinic that were also invaluable to my success as a massage therapist. I started ITMT in 2010 and I've been riding this awesome roller coaster of meeting people from all walks of life and helping those individuals better understand their bodies and find relief and relaxation along the way ever since. I love my work and I feel so blessed to be able to play a part in helping people feel better and bring a little happiness to their day.
Regain & maintain a healthy happy body.
Hello! I'm Noell & I am an Illinois licensed massage therapist. I have a bachelors in Nutrition & worked for the health department for over 8 years. I studied massage therapy at Cortiva Institute in 2015 after seeing the incredible results of what massage did for me after a bad car accident earlier that year. I love working in the health care field & wanted to do more to help people feel better. I love using the techniques I've learned in relaxation massage, therapeutic massage & thermal therapies to create the most calming, relaxing & effective massage possible. Massage therapy has been a great addition to my health care skill set &
I look forward to continually adding more ways to help.
